Feeling weary, tired, needing some time and space away with God? A quiet day simply offers time away from your normal routine, space to be still, to rest, to listen to God and pray. Solitude is often what our soul longs for, but when we get away we don't know where to begin, so why not come and join us. The day will be led by Helen Hunter, a local trained Spiritual Director and retreat leader.
This retreat day will be a quiet reflective day focused around Psalm 23. How the Lord is our Shepherd, how he gently leads and guides us and invites us to lie down in green pastures, to find restoration for our souls.
The retreat is limited to 8 places only, so it's completely ok to come alone. This is for those seeking out time to be with God, not about socialising or lots of teaching. (if you wish to book a retreat for a specific group or larger number, please contact us directly, this is retreat is aimed at individual bookings only.)
We will be meeting in a house in Portballintrae with beautiful sea views. The peaceful, comfortable surroundings will allow space for time apart individually and also gathered together in group-led sessions. There will be an opportunity for walks or creative activities for those who wish, but also times to simply times just to sit and reflect for those who don't.
The day will begin at 10 am and finish at 4pm, tea and coffee and a light lunch are included in the price. There will also be short Spiritual Direction sessions available during the afternoon for any who wish to receive some one to one input. We try to accommodate all dietary requirements.
